Park Smiles NYC: The best dental care for special needs patients of all ages

If someone in your family has special needs, you’re likely anxious yourself about the stress and anxiety a dental visit can cause. Perhaps you’re concerned about how the family member will react to even a basic cleaning – or sitting still for an extended period of time during another type of essential treatment.

At Park Smiles NYC and our sister practice in the same office, Park Smiles NYC Pediatrics , our caring and compassionate team has years of extensive training and experience working with special needs patients of all ages. Not only do we offer an understanding of the special needs patient’s emotional and physical needs, but we also offer an array of state-of-the-art tools to help provide a stress-free and pain-free experience.

Enjoy the convenience of a multi-specialty practice under one roof in one sitting!

Our skilled team – including pediatric dentists, orthodontist, periodontist, anesthesiologists and oral surgeon – work in the same office, so there’s no need to be referred elsewhere ifthe patient needs a specialist. How safe is sedation dentistry for someone with special needs?

Under the close supervision and guidance of the patient’s dentist, physician, and anaesthesiologist, his or her comfort and safety — and your peace-of-mind — are our top priorities. Before administering any form of sedation, we carefully assess the unique needs of the patient and thoroughly discuss the options, including oral sedation , I.V. sedation or nitrous oxide . You can rest assured that our experienced anesthesiologist and dentist will work together to maximize the safety and comfort of the patient.

For your added convenience and peace-of-mind, we have a state-of-the-art operating room in our office, which is accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF.org ) – just like any accredited hospital or outpatient surgery center. In addition, we have an anesthesia machine to perform General Anesthesia when required.
